Quantity Surveying 1 (ARCH 1001)
In this course, students explore the role of quantity surveying and estimating quantities of construction materials in the design and construction processes, using fundamental estimating principles for various types of estimates. They learn the basic skills necessary to understand, interpret, and calculate quantities and costs using measurements of construction work following the fundamentals of quantity surveying employing the methodology from the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS).
