Architectural Design - Residential (ARCH 1002)

In this course, students explore the requirements of Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code for architectural projects, in order to define their structural solutions and to apply the theory supporting this activity. They learn the principles, logics, and dependencies of the design process between project inception and completion. Students examine how a residential architectural drawing set should be fully illustrated and structurally designed for design presentation and building permit readiness. Various different project development stages are presented.
