Introduction to Fixed Operations with Dealership Management Systems (AUTO 2010)

In this course, students learn about the automobile dealership service, parts, and body shop operations. Students examine best practices for optimizing the return on investment in the dealership, and how after-sales business and fixed operations contribute to overall dealership profitability. Customer satisfaction and loyalty are emphasized. Students are also introduced to various software applications used by retail dealerships. Students discover trends within departments by using dealership management system reports which provide an in-depth investigation of the parts and service departments, with respect to parts inventory control, parts invoicing, service merchandising, service scheduling and service invoicing.
