Culture and Communication (COMM 2023)

Living and working productively in a multicultural society requires openness and respect for diverse cultural beliefs and values. Effective intercultural communication includes awareness of verbal and non-verbal differences so that messages sent and those received deliver shared meaning and mutual understanding. Students explore how cultural conditioning shapes people’s behavior and perception of others. This understanding prepares students to communicate and interact successfully in cross-cultural contexts. The course combines academic inquiry with practical cultural participation and explores cross-cultural interactions.
