Introduction to Information Security (COMP 2103)
Information Technology systems need to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. In this course, students are introduced to the principles of network and operating system security through hands-on exploration. Students learn how to harden an operating system as well as secure the network by implementing technologies such as firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
