Introduction to Food Service Employment (CORP 0197)

This 16-week training program includes a 6-week paid work placement which occurs following the in-class theory and practical content. This course introduces the learner to safe food preparation and handling techniques, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and kitchen equipment, receiving, unpacking and proper storage of food and supplies, replenishing supplies such as condiments, loading bus pans and trays, cleaning and clearing tables, trays and chairs, setting tables and preparing other food service areas.
