Advanced Kitchen Design (KBDE 1006)

Students further develop an understanding of functional, aesthetic, and spatial qualities relevant to kitchen design and the application of these skills to new built projects. Advanced planning principles relevant to kitchens that vary in both scope and design criteria are studied. Concepts of design integrity, ageing in place, sustainability, and universal design are practiced in the development and documentation of new kitchen designs. Design concepts learned adhere to regulatory codes, industry guidelines and satisfy design parameters.
