Family Law 2 (LAWS 2039)
Students build upon the knowledge and skills developed in Family Law 1, focusing on the law of matrimonial property rights. Using applicable computer software, they become familiar with and prepare court documents and contracts required in a family law practice. Students examine financial statements, procedures on a property claim, separation agreements, the process for varying orders and enforcement procedures. Students learn appropriate client management and consider ethical issues associated with the practice of family law.
