Math for the Computer Industry (MATH 1003)

During this course, students learn the practical knowledge and skills required to apply mathematical concepts to computer studies. Basic algebraic concepts, alternate number systems, set theory, scientific notation, modulus arithmetic, combinational logic circuitry, IEEE storage standards, Karnaugh Mapping and the simplification of Boolean Algebra expressions are the foundation of this course. Additionally, students use basic statistical concepts to understand challenges in information technology.
