Selling and Merchandising (MKTG 2025)

Students learn strategies of selling and merchandising based on theories of consumer psychology. The development of client relations and management of client expectations are studied in relation to the selling of interior decorating goods and services. Window display, showroom layout, lighting and retail merchandising techniques are examined. Knowledge gained through lectures, research, and assignments is applied to a community service learning project that demonstrates methods of product and service display, spatial planning, and the use of merchandising techniques applicable to a retail environment.
