Applied Cryptography (NETS 1035)

In this course, students examine cryptography and secure communications. Topics include cryptographic algorithms and protocols, digital signatures, and public key infrastructure. Students learn how to install and configure encryption technologies for the network, email, and operating system to prevent attacks. Students examine technologies such as SSH, OpenVPN, IPsec and VeraCrypt. Students are provided with a comprehensive survey of modern cryptography.
