Police Powers (PFPR 2030)
Students examine the detention, arrest and release authorities included in the Criminal Code. Students explore the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and its impact on police procedure. Through practical scenarios, students demonstrate lawful arrests, and practice appropriate, legally sound techniques in handcuffing and searching people in custody.
