Plumbing Theory 2 (PLMB 1003)

In this second-level course, students' ability to diagnose, repair and service common plumbing systems is enhanced. Various plumbing fixtures, traps, sizing and fixture outlet pipes are explained. Water supply sources, storm water systems, treatment equipment and septic systems along with pertinent rules and sizing protocols for use and installation are also discussed. The use of sustainable plumbing fixtures and appliances designed to conserve both water and energy to help reduce the impact of buildings on the environment are introduced and discussed. Entrepreneurial opportunities within the plumbing trade are explored.
