Organized Crime (POLC 4008)

Students engage in a historical and theoretical analysis of the origins and development of organized crime. Students consider organization, function, structure of power and control of selected criminal organizations. Students also look at the law enforcement and investigative challenges of international organized crime types on a local, national and international level including cross-national and international efforts of police, courts, international agencies and correctional authorities to deal with emerging issues.
