ODP Certification (TECH 0053)
This course is for students who have never been issued an ODP card (or the card has expired) by the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI) or the Ministry of Environment (MOE) and are seeking certification. The course deals with the environmental issues regarding ozone-depleting substances used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems to comply with federal and provincial regulations. Course materials are provided.
Note: If the expiry date on an ODP card has passed, MOE requires the individual to take the full one-day course again. The Ontario ODS regulation stipulates that ODP cardholders must renew their cards by contacting their office every five years.
