Introduction to Basic Carpentry General (TECH 0603)

In this course, students learn theoretical knowledge and practical skills of wood framing vital to entry level positions in general carpentry. Students practice the fundamentals of tool safety and basic wood frame construction in order to build full-size wood frame structures. Completion of this this course prepares students for employment in the residential construction sector. This course establishes the foundation for continued formal training within Ontario’s apprenticeship system.
